How to Apply

In the summer of 2009, SCG launched its Alumni Association which supports past participants to reconnect with one another and with the organization, and to access resources and opportunities to further their leadership and peacebuilding skills.  The Alumni Association is both a real and a virtual community; it hosts regional social gatherings and service projects, it connects alumni to the opportunities of the Alumni in Action program, and it provides online resources for alumni to stay connected with one another. 

SCG held an inaugural Alumni Symposium in Denver in July 2009 to hear ideas for the association and programming from a core group of alumni themselves. The inaugural symposium was a huge success, and SCG is following it up with additional focus-groups, phone-interviews, and meetings with alumni in the U.S. and worldwide as the Alumni Association grows and solidifies.

The first Regional Meet-up was held in November 2009 in Denver, and included leadership training, a service project, and time to socialize and discuss the Alumni in Action program. More than 20 alumni participated, ranging in program years from 1996 through 2009, and coming from Chicago, Houston, New York, San Francisco, Vermont, Boulder, and Denver.

The first Jerusalem Retreat & Training is scheduled for February 18-20, 2010! SCG is currently accepting applications from any SCG alumni in the Middle East. Please see the link below for an invitation and application, or contact us for more information.
