Interns for Peace

“Being an Intern for Peace allows me to contribute and give to a program and organization that has given me so much - foundational relationships that have shaped my perspective, a lens through which to approach conflict, experiences in parts of the world and in my own country that I had never been to or even thought to encounter, and friendships that traverse all conceivable borders. SCG is truly a community that I love and am thrilled to be a part of.” ~ Rachel Banks, 2009-2010 Intern for Peace

Interns for Peace is a program developed in 2000 by two BBfP alumni that provides past participants of an SCG program the opportunity to gain skills in non-profit management, public speaking and writing, and program development and facilitation. The Interns for Peace volunteer in the Denver office, speak locally and nationally to diverse institutions and organizations, and help develop, improve, and implement SCG programming.

Interns for Peace are accepted on a rolling basis and at varying levels of time commitments.  Strong candidates have demonstrated their commitment to SCG and its programming through their participation in BBfP and active engagement in the follow-up program.

The 2010 Interns for Peace are Rachel Banks, Amani Rohana, and  Or Glicklich! We invite you to read more about them on the interns page.

Interns for Peace has been completed for 2010.
